Apolonio Flores

Mr. Flores is a nationally recognized expert in affordable housing. He provides technical assistance and consulting services to Housing Authorities, governmental entities, nonprofit corporations, private developers, and others. Mr. Flores has provided advisory and consulting services for developing properties using low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC) and other financing to Housing Authorities, nonprofit corporations, and developers. He has done so in Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, and North Dakota. From March 1979 to March 1997, Flores was President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Housing Authority of the City of San Antonio, Texas.  He oversaw the development, financing, ownership, and management of about 60 Public Housing developments with about 8,000 units and the administration of Section 8 rental assistance to about 11,000 families renting privately owned housing.  The recipients of the Public Housing and Section 8 assistance included families, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens in a multicultural and multiracial City, with properties located throughout the City.
